I guess you can say that I am the mind behind the macabre
Thorn & Tome grew from a lifelong love of the strange, the magical, and the beautifully unconventional—shaped by a childhood spent with a witchy woman for a mother and a metalhead for a father. Surrounded by the unusual from an early age, I learned that beauty doesn’t always look polished or familiar. Sometimes it lives in the forgotten, the weathered, the eerie, and the things most people overlook.
That fascination never left me.
As someone who has always been a lover of all things dark, morbid, and hauntingly beautiful, I spent years dreaming, collecting, creating, and imagining a little corner of the world that could belong to people like us—those who find wonder in strange things and feel most at home somewhere just outside the ordinary.
Life delayed that dream more than once, but I never let it go.
And eventually, Thorn & Tome became real.
Today, Thorn & Tome is more than a shop. It’s a home for the curious, the gothic, the witchy, the collectors, the oddity lovers, the wanderers, and anyone who has ever felt drawn toward the things that don’t quite fit the mold.
Within these walls, you’ll find curated oddities, natural specimens, entomology, relics, curiosities, crystals, ritual pieces, artwork, and unusual treasures—each chosen because it carries a little something extra: character, atmosphere, history, or simply that feeling of I don’t know why, but I need this.
I believe the things we collect become part of our stories.
A specimen displayed beneath glass. A relic with an unknown history. A strange little object that makes you smile every time you pass it. These are the pieces that turn a house into a reflection of the person who lives there.
My hope is that Thorn & Tome becomes something larger than a business—something I can nurture, grow, and someday pass down. A collection of stories, curiosities, and traditions that can be handed from one generation to the next, keeping the lantern lit for those who come after us.
And perhaps, one day, my boys will help carry it forward.
